1. Somerton Youth Organization (SYO)
A private non-profit organization based in the Somerton neighborhood of Northeast Philly, the Somerton Youth Organization (SYO) has been offering sports and athletic programs since 1955. The organization actively encourages the development of sportsmanship, motivation, self-esteem and other skills through sports.
Some of the sports offerings at SYO include in-house soccer, in-house and travel basketball and baseball, in-house baseball, travel football, travel softball. Volunteers from the community operate it.
2. Parkwood Youth Organization (PYO)
The Parkwood Youth Organization is dedicated to helping players be the best version they can be by instilling passion and creating an environment that encourages the development of players. The governing body, Board, and coaches are all volunteers. Among the sports offered include baseball, softball, TeeBall, Football, Cheerleading, Soccer, and Basketball.
