Philadelphia Flower Show – February 29th until March 8th, 2020
The Philadelphia Flower Show takes place every year. This year, it focuses on a Mediterranean theme with landscape designs featuring an array of flowerbeds including citrus, roses, lavender and much more. Hosted at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (12th and Arch), this show is one of the oldest and largest in the country. There’s plenty of entertainment and over 100 vendors to choose from, so come make sure you visit if you live in Philly or are visiting the area during the first week of March.
Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest – November 29th, 2019 until March 8th, 2020
The skating rink at Christopher Columbus Boulevard is sure to impress. Take in breathtaking Ben Franklin Bridge views over a starlit sky, string lighting, and outdoor music, while you enjoy skating around the rink. The Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is set along the waterfront of the Delaware River (hard to miss as you drive down Columbus Blvd) and remains open until March 8th. Take in the refurbished warming cabins and main lodge as you try delicious food and beverages from Chickie’s& Pete’s, Franklin Fountain and Garces Group.
POPS Rocks Phil Collins: The music of Genesis and Phil Collins – March 6th until March 8th, 2020
Taking place at the Kimmel Center (Verizon Hall) from March 6th to March 8th this year, this tribute performance to the star performerย Phil Collins will keep you entertained throughout. The city salutes Phil Collins as the only performer to play both Philadelphia and London during Live Aid in 1985. From hits like One More Night to Easy Lover to Two Hearts to In The Air Tonight, there’s plenty to offer at this show. The Philly Pops, the biggest rock band in the city will crank up the volume with Broadway headliner Aaron Finley during the performance.
14th Annual Philly Craft Beer Festival – March 7th, 2020
Hosted at the Navy Yard, the 14th Annual Philly Craft Beer Festival is rated by Forbes Traveler as one of the top 10 beer festivals in the United States. The event has also won the Philly Beer Scene’s ‘Best Beer Fest’ award for three years in a row. This electric event has more than 150 beers on offer, along with an array of food trucks and even a VIP session that features rare brews. The beer festival also showcases over 50 of the best local and national breweries, including Great Barn Brewery, MiddleCoast Brewing Company and plenty more. There is a free shuttle offered from the Broad and Pattison SEPTA station to the navy yard starting at 11:00am.
Harlem Globetrotters at Wells Fargo Center – March 1st, 2020
At the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday March 1, check out some new epic dunks and jaw-dropping stunts. As of the of their all new pushing the limits world tour, check out this entertaining day at the Wells Fargo Center.
Broadway Philadelphia Productions – March 13th until March 29th, 2020 (select dates)
At the Merriam Theater and near-by Academy of Music, if you’re into Broadway, two new shows are coming to Philly. Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles as well as Tony-Award winning musical classic Les Miserables. The shows are only offered on select dates and times so be sure to check the website for more information.
